Monsoons still strong. Sat. biggest rain of summer.
Elk losing summer red coat and mostly tan color of
fall. Rubbing should start in a few days. Bull groups
starting to disperse. Checked on basin 4 miles away
saw 1700 head. Not many bulls. Elk all day staying
near 13000 ft not going to timber at all. If nobody
bothers them why go to timber.Still very green from
all the rain.

Rocketman, great pictures again. That is some beautiful country. Thanks for the reply to my IM.

Rocketman,

Enjoying the photos - makes we wish I was sitting on that hill with you, seems you love the unit (and your dog).

I must say it's refressing to see an outdoorsman and hunter share his secrets so openly without money involved.

Thanks

I love your photos thanks a bunch. Last year my uncle drew 76 for the first rifle season. We saw a lot of elk on our scouting trip. When we got up in there to hunt my uncle got altitude sickness and we didn't get to hunt. So he lost a great tag. Beautiful area and lots of elk. jc
