I am using a StealthCam I450 with the optional 12vt external battery pack. Its about $129 before a $20 mail in rebate. 4 weeks ago I would hands down recommend it as the best bang for the buck camera going, but in the past few weeks alot of people are reporting problems with theirs (mine works great still). It has a hella-powerful flash which means when placed in forest areas with a canopy of trees, it can wash out daytime pictures if it flashes. It takes incredible night pictures though with the flash extending out 50-70ft. My cam is out in the open and has no problems with this, I would buy another one if I had a place to put it.

As always, I recommend people spending a little time over at www.chasingame.com, a really friendly trailcamera website where they review most cameras in very detailed ways. Hit up the forums for discussions on individual cams to learn problems, tips and tricks, and see actual user picts from the various cams.

Fair warning though, its an addictive year around hobby.

Dallen,

I have the moultrie d40 last time I checked it I had 110 videos on it with my 2 gig sd card it was half full. This was in a weeks time period. I can't believe how addicting that it is. I have my dad taking me to check mine almost weekly! With a three hour drive and an two hour hike. LOL last time we left at like 10:00 p.m. got to trail head at around 2:00 a.m. and slept till first light then hiked in.

Am I addicted, He!! yea I am!
