My Daughter drew this 2 day Oct.2-3 youth tag, This will be her firsr deer hunt. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I will probably go down in sept and scout the unit one week end. Thanks for any info. John
I have hunted their most of my life and I think you should start at the northern end of the unit near magdalena. Their is better deer numbers here than the southern end of the unit.

I had an Oct hunt there last year and found most of the muleys in the foot hills. There are several forest roads off of 52 near Dusty. I got mine over there. I did see several Doe's south of Magdalena. Up high I only seen Elk. Good Luck
