A friend of ours drew a multi-season Elk tag for Washington. He is a bowhunter that doesnt mind a good hike and were trying to come up with some ideas on what to do.

How would you approach this type of opportunity? What kind of game plan would be best?

Any strategies, suggestions, tips, or tactics would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Bob Hickey

Hunt early archery season, then early muzzleloader, then rifle, then late archery...and all in western Washington where bulls are legal. I'm not sure what else to say. Just put the time in, that's what that permit allows a guy to do. I think it would be cool to pick one unit that is open for every season and hunt that unit exlusively.

He could always do the selkirk thing too but elk are not as plentiful up there

Thank you for all of the help!

This tag sure gives one lots of options to think about. Thats ok by me because theres nothing better than planning for an entire year of elk hunting!! lol...well besides calling em in and eating them for dinner of course!
