Bighorn National Forest, area "C" Wyoming

Just drew for Wyoming and got my second choice which was Area "C". Does the Eastern Half of the Bighorn National Forest or the Cloud Peak Wilderness areas have decent Mule Deer Populations or good hunting areas? Seems to be a lot of private land in that region, but I would prefer hunting something cheaper if possible!

Thanks

Phil

Phil your right about the private land, I grew up there and getting access is tough to say the least, the powder river breaks probably have the biggest deer in the area, but almost all of it is leased up. The mountain does have some decent deer and the occasional good one but they are very elusive by the time rifle season rolls around. Your best cheap bet would be to hunt the timberline in the early season or try and catch the migrators in the late season. I think the western end of the forest is your best bet. Send me an email and Ill fill you in a little more specifically. Your going to need to be in shape however either that or have some ponies. jamie
