Massive 407 bull

This bull was taken on 8/10/07 on an early rifle season tag on public land. This is a gross green score, it was taken in the badlands of ND on a residents only once in a lifetime tag.
Very near the same area that a 449 7/8 nontypical bull was killed a couple years back.
These bulls in this area get extremely massive and have huge bodies, the biologist said bulls like this will weigh around 1200 lbs. Taken with a 300 WSM at 450 yds.

What a lucky hunter! That is a monster bull to already hit the dirt this year.

Hey Roy! If I had been the lucky hunter to shoot that mammoth, I think I would have the taxidermist mount the rack like it is in the picture. Maybe it's just me, but I think his real velvet or recreated velvet hangin off his rack would really capture the moment forever. Not to mention that it would make him look that much more nasty and mean in a very cool way.
