Anybody out there have any experience or info on long range (300 yards) accuracy of the .30-06 Accelerators from Remington? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The ones I shot didn't group at 100 yards much less 300. I think they are a gimik and I wouldn't recommend them for any purpose.

My 30/06 shoots well with Remington 150 grain bullets and that would be my choice if I used a big gun to harvest predators. Oh, wait a minute, when I was gearing up for a Wyoming deer tag a few years ago I used this gun to whack 4 coyotes early in the season. Pelt damage was nill, a little hole in and out and very dead coyotes. There was one that got away, he was sly and shy. I didn't see him until he was on the way out and he left a hind leg as a memento of the one that is still out there.

Hope this helps,

I've tried them in one rifle I had a few years ago. Custom 1903 Springfield 4 gr. 1-10 twist. The rifle would shoot about 1 1/4" groups at 100 yds with some of my reloads. The accelerators would only group about 4" which wasn't acceptable accuracy for me. Actually the 1 1/4" wasn't really either and I have traded the rifle off. That's the only one I've tried but I sure wasn't impressed.

I tried a box out of curiosity, would not do any better than 4" at 100 yards from my Rem 700.

I bought a .243 Rem 700 ADL and a couple boxes of their premier varmint line of ammo-75 grain ballistic tips and cannot believe how well they shoot. 3/4" group at 100 and 3" group at 300. Almost makes a guy not want to load his own other than $18 bucks a box. Watchout coyotes in Colorado's central mountains.
