Colo unit 76 Sept 13 pics

The rut has really exploded the last 2 days. Bugles
now 3000-5000 per day. Some bulls are bugling every
hour of the day and night. At night from my tent
you cant go 2 min all night without a bugle. During
mid day maybe 5-10 min without a bugle. Most bulls
are now dirty and starting to see alot of wallowing.
One bull this morning layed in a wallow for 1/2 hour
this AM. Only once did I see a mount but she pulled
out right away. No fights and little aggressive
behavior between bulls. Yesterday saw 2000 head but
today alot fewer. Snow in those pics yesterday AM
2 in above 12600.Roy in Montrose

In the last picture that elk has a huge body!!!! I love it.
