LAST EDITED ON Sep-14-07 AT 12:47PM (MST)[p]Here are a few pics of my kid brother's Dutton archery bull. He shot him yesterday (9-13) at 3:30 PM near a wallow. Great shot and only 45 yards of tracking. Don't have a score yet as he is still on the mountain getting him out today. I sure am proud of him for his work and dedication!!

Great bull and congrats on a good bow kill. Could U get any farther behind the bull in the pic.lol

Yeah we are a bit back but we only had a camera with a timer and that is where we ended up. Actually the bull is just a rag horn but to make us feel better we stood way back. It is obvious how small he is in the bottom photo with no people in it.

Great bull! Can't wait to hear the story. Congrats to the hunter.

Yeah...he's little. Total raghorn. Why'd you even shoot him? ;-) lol

Awesome bull! High fives all around.

LAST EDITED ON Sep-14-07 AT 07:31PM (MST)[p]Sheeesh, Taylor between you and Chad, I'm starting to feel a bit left out.....J/K!! I'll throw in the same offer as Chad, again not taken the wrong way, but when can I hold your rack?

ROFLMAO

Hope you shoot a raghorn like that in AZ, YOU DOG!

Taylor,
Tell your little bro congrats on a great "raghorn". Good job and way to keep with it!!

It has been a fun year for hunting elk in Utah this year, that is for sure!!

Did you draw a tag in Arizona?

Best of luck,

Cory

Just FYI, The "raghorn" had 56 1/2 and 57 inch main beams. We rough scored him at 370 and he will actually be a few inches more (we subtracted all fractions of inches) when the official tape gets done. Again, I am quite proud of my brother and his hard work.

On a side note: one of the quarters and the backstraps were eaten by a bear. My brother's backpack, which he left at the kill site, was ripped open and his bow was 15 feet into the bushes, all from the bear. WOW!!

Awesome!

Taylor, I thought you were underestimating that bull when we talked!

We had a few bear problems ourselves! I hope I can finally draw mt bear tag next year and eliminate one of them!

Tell your Bro congrats!

Bear problems on Mt. Dutton!!!???

I have a early cow tag for Dutton hope we don't see or have any bear issues. Is this a new problem? We have hunted Dutton for cow elk a few times and never see any bear sign.

Yak,

My bear problems were on the wasatch unit, but If I were you I would take good care of your elk and get it out quick. There seem to be a lot of bears this year. I saw 5 on my unit this year and I was not even looking for them! Good luck on your hunt.

I didn't know they even had bears there either. We saw a huge boar one night and my brother saw it again when he went back for his bull.
