Here is my good friends bull that he killed on Monroe Saturday night. Thank you to all who shared your insight regarding this unit and the help that you all lent to us.

What an amazing unit and beautiful country. What a fun hunt... no wonder it takes so many points to draw this unit.

Great bull. How does everyone draw these tags. I guess 10 more years and I will have a chance. Hopefully there will be elk then.

THE ONLY bobcat THAT KNOWS ALOT OF YOU HAVE HAD THIS IMAGE IN YOUR PEA BRAIN BUT DUE TO POOR SHOOTING TACTICS I'M STILL KICKIN!!!

Awesome bull! Sounds like it was a great time. There's nothing like watching a rutting bull get dumped at 30 yards.

elkhorn,

The only way it would've been over any quicker is if you would've given us the GPS coordinates or been there helping him. Your detailed directions were very helpful. Fun hunt!

While moving in to get a look at this bull, we came across a bull that was killed last year and not found, didn't investigate as to how it may have died, but it was a white antlered 6 pt. I have my suspisions it was an archery bull that was lost. But the action was too hot to stop and investigate.

Hey cowslayer, tell B or G congratulations. I can't tell those two apart and I can't remember which one of them drew the tag. I am married to their cousin. Sounds like I should have invited myself to come along to see him put this big bull down and to help pack it out.

Anyways, that is a great bull and thanks for posting the pictures for him.

It's B that drew the tag. I am not sure but I know this is his first elk for sure but may be his first big game animal. He may have taken a couple of deer in his early years. We definitely could've used your help packing this bull out. B did a great job packing the head out the night he killed it through the black jungle only aided by a head lamp. The next day B's dad, myself and the great white hunter were tired after packing all of that meat out.

Well worth it, for such a gorgeous bull.

I guess I better start going to more of my wifes family functions so I can go along if anyone else draws an elk tag. I have been waiting very impatiently for someone in my family to draw an elk tag so I can experience the thrill of LE elk hunting again. I am envious of anyone that gets to go along on these great hunts. I guess the next time I see B I will have to ask him to tell me the story about the awesome hunt.

No official tape yet on him, we've got a good guesstimate on him ;-). But he's a great bull, that has character, mass, long main beams and was closing in on us at 30 yards. I think Brandon had to shoot him to protect us from the big bull that thought we were a cow elk. Used the primos, Hyper Lip Double.

Cowslayer strikes again. Very nice bull. Sounds like a fun hunt to be a part of with a good time had by all.

Thanks for posting the second picture, I really like that one, especially with the aspen grove backround. G2 of mammoth proportions there! Big bull in picture perfect elk country, it doesn't get better.
