Wow, what a year it's been so far for Utah's elk hunters! Congrats to all of the lucky hunters.

I've been able to tag along on a couple of hunts this fall, and I'm all elked out-it's time to start hunting deer!:)

This first pic is of a bull we took last Thursday. It was shot by my dad's best friend and is the first bull he's shot in his life. It was quite the experience hunting with my 70+ year old father, his 70 year old brother and the 60+ year old hunter. Needless to say I wasn't looking forward to packing a bull out.

We passed on bulls every day, but never could turn up one of the really "Big Stinky" bulls, but after a lot of time in the woods I've come to realize that most elk seem to grow 20-30 inches on the ground;)

The hunt for this bull was one of the most rewarding I've been on. I'll post some other "Stinky" pics later-it's time to focus on DEER! YE HA!!!:)

Good Job Paul..
Tell them Congrats on a great looking bull...
They may not get 30" bigger on the ground antlerwise, but they do get 300 lbs heavier once they take the dive....
It is great that you were able to help those guys out...
They wouldn't have been able to do it on their own!

Dangit Prism- I told you to call me when you got a bull down and I would come and give a hand. I was babysitting most of the weekend and could have for sure got out of that with a call from a buddy "in need". Nice bull for sure.

JUDAS PRIEST!!!

WHERE'D THIS BAD BOY COME FROM???

GREAT JOB!!!

THE ONLY bobcat THAT KNOWS ALOT OF YOU HAVE HAD THIS IMAGE IN YOUR PEA BRAIN BUT DUE TO POOR SHOOTING TACTICS I'M STILL KICKIN!!!

That's a beautiful bull, Prism. By the way, much thanks for NEBG3. I really enjoyed it. I'm assuming we'll see more of this guy in NEBG 5?

Thanks guys. Yes it will be be in a future DVD. I've got three elk hunts "in the can" so far with kill shots on all three.

Bess, he's a NE region bull as are the others. There's some big bulls up north, but not nearly as many as the southern units.

I'm already trying to decide what to do with my points for next year. I'm thinking about heading south.........or trying to anyways.
