I've thrown in the towel on the spike only units, not going to hunt them anymore. I've never killed a bull and I realize this probably won't help cure that, but it just drives me crazy to hunt the spike only. It is also the only way I'll ever at least have a chance at a mature bull, 12 unsucc years for LE deer draws means I'll be dead long before I pull a LE Elk tag. I'll be hunting the muzzy hunt this year. The Box Elder/Hansel Mtn. unit looks intriguing to me, I wouldn't mind checking it out. Any info would be appreciated. I know a lot of it is private, I don't mind talking with landowners if anyone knows any.

Good luck with talking with any that would let you hunt. Most of them have family that hunts and they don't want anymore realatives. My suggestion...... save up for three years and go out of state somewhere for a chance at something bigger that a spike.
