Young buck,
Yes they have all been score officially. And alot of them are in my house!

Your the man. Thanks for ruining my work performance. Instead of actually being productive, I am forced to drool all over my keyboard and get nothing done. You've caused one helluva chain reaction in my life, I'm gonna get fired, have no money, have to cancel my hunts, get on the sauce, beg for change... all because of this AWESOME DISPLAY OF HORN PORN!!!! Keep it coming....I hate work anyway.

Five_point_buck,
I don't want to get you fired! If you live in northern Californicator you need to relieve a little stress I know because I was raised in the Nape Valley.Lake Berryessa.Moved to Idaho in 1977 just for the mule deer hunting!

THIRTY ALMIGHTY (Your new handle),

I'm just across the bay from Nappy in San Bruno. I have a 185" typical on the wall at home and he suddenly looks small. Thanks for all the time and effort posting, it has really picked things up around here and redefined my goals for this coming year. I can have some serious dreams about any of those bucks. Granted, the areas most of us hunt may never hold bucks of that caliber, but you never know, and thats why we do what we do. People always said there weren't any deer bigger than 150 in my area and we've dug out a few 30's ( 175-190)in the last few years. Ya just never know......

Wish I had the nuts to move away but there is good money on the table right now. Maybe in a few years, I almost have my wife (a city girl through and through) brainwashed into getting out of Kalifornia.....

Keep 'em coming. Maybe you can write a little about the hunts that produced such awesome bucks.

IF YOUR GOING TO BE A BEAR BE A GRIZZLY BEAR!
Five_point_buck*,

It took me 8 years to finally say we are outta here. My wife was raised in South city San Fran. Can't get more city than that. I have here skinning bears and stinking coyotes now. I'am also been a taxidermist for 25 years. Good luck this year and remember to pass up those 25 inchers. The big one is just around the corner.

Am I the only one that noticed, or does that guy in the bottom left look like he has a big case of "horn envy". And they say size doesn't matter.

Absolutely incredible.

Thirty,

What a coincidence, my wife (and her entire family) was born and raised in South City (3 generations), actually our first house was in South San Fran. on Miller Ave. I used to use sign hill as my practice climbing hill to get in shape for chasing mulies.
So maybe there is hope for her.

Keep up the good stuff...

Thanks for keeping up the picture posting! You definately have THE single best photo stash of huge muley bucks I've ever seen. Incredible! Kind of like a MANIAC(long story) that actually had something to do with getting most of them...

Awesome pic

It blows me away how many big buck photos you have.

I can't wait for the 50 incher. A while back there were threads aurguing that a 50 incher has never been taken.

Again thanks

Heartshot, There is one much bigger and I will post it when things start get boring.
Larry

PS. Then I will start posting some of our old clients bucks. Over 18 years of guiding we took some great monsters.

Nice pictures of some young guides!! which one was you?

Shot at my first california blacktail in Pope Valley, Ca, on the back 40. let a big 4x4 walk by without shooting, didnt want to wake up the people in the guest house.. they were the ranch owners.. bailed out of Ca, also in 1978. only go back to shoot ducks at Tule and to see my folks.

Now exactly where was that forty incher shot? and dont tell us it was in the lungs..

What is your best guess as to start of rut for mule deer in Idaho at elevations 5000 feet more or less?

got a back country late season buck tag this year.

Jamiester

Thanks for the pics, you had one heck of a guiding area thats for sure. I can only dream of a camp with the caliber of those bucks hanging in it.

Jamiester,
That is my old stomping grounds! I killed lots of bucks between Pope Valley and the lake. Cedar Roughs was my favorite. Big buck was taken in unit77.About four hundred yards from my camp.
Larry
Oh forgot Iam the good looking dude top right.

Very impressive collection of antlers!!
Do you get down this way to hunt blacktails anymore?
I bet your probably miss hunting deer in 100 degree weather.
Ya right.
Keep posting those monsters

Lik2hnt,
No,My mom and dad still live in St Helena and I would love to go back down and hunt those wily Blacktails but don't have a place to hunt them anymore.Used to belong to the golden Ram when it first started and we use to lease a ranch up at Lake Berressa.I have a good friend who lives in Ukiah by the name of Bob Elkins, he is a boone And Crockett measurer like my self that said Larry, you don,t want to come down here and hunt, that at that time of the year the pot growers are liable to shoot at you.We did alot of hunting up out of Covelo and willits.
