LAST EDITED ON Oct-04-07 AT 07:51PM (MST)[p]***I posted this yesterday but something happened to it, not sure what, but here is the repost of yesterdays.***

Here are three big bulls taken during the September 2007 season in southern Colorado. One smokepole bull and two bow bulls.

These were guided hunts on private land for free range bulls. No high fences here.

Hope you enjoy!

Hope you all enjoyed seeing these big ole boys!

What the hell happened to those guys heads?! They must have been in the woods so long that the trees started growing out of their necks?! Sweet Bulls, just tell us that they are free rangers please.....

Why are we hiding faces "canislatrans", i don't like this post whatsoever, it reaks of too much mystery.

And that first bull...how long was he lost before he was found? Looks pretty bloated with that front leg all suspended in air like that, and looks like something has been munchin on his hind quarters as well.
I really wish i could say "congratulations". But these photo's reak with the utmost disrespect to these bulls! With arrows still protruding out of the animals and sticks crambed in thier heads, not too mention the headless hunters no doubt.....i'm just going to say "nice job at the photoshop".

I agree, those pictures are disturbing. Something just looks wrong, I mean besides the total disrespect for the animals and the bloated bull.

I really enjoy these pics and look forward to seeing this caliber bulls come next couple of weeks in Colorado. These guys look to be just my size. Thank you for posting the pictures.

......and if these were "guided" like stated, i'd never use that outfitter ever again if that's how they treat the animals they hunt after their killed.

I'm sure you won't see this outfitters photo albums in a reputable hunting expo with with any credibility if this is how they take their pictures and care for harvested animals!!

None the less... "nice bulls, but the rest of it totally sucks".

That first one either got munched on or they used an anti tank rocket for the "Texas neck shot"

Congrats............were you guys in the sleepy hollow unit?

Just hope the PETA guys keep looking at the pictures and complaining about ethics and respect.

Is that ethical?

If the bull is bloated in the first photo...why are his guts laying behind him? I've never seen a bloated bull with no guts in him. Everyone just needs to keep to their own business and quit judging everyone's ethics on this site. Sometimes i wonder if its full of a bunch of menstrating women!

LAST EDITED ON Oct-05-07 AT 09:15AM (MST)[p]Great bulls.

There should be more respect payed to these terrific animals than that.

At least some of us have "ethics"

This forum is just for that reason "for discussion"

The last bull is presented better than the other two.

I'd rather be huntin!!!!

pymulies-
You could very well be right about those being gut's in the back, and not exposed meat from predators like i mentioned. But that bull is definately bloated, gut's or no guts. Leg's simply don't suspend like that. He was definately bloated, got rigor and then taken care of by the hunters. I have seen this happen before, i know what it looks like.

And like someone else mentioned above, PETA eats pictures like these right up and uses them against us all, so go ahead and condone and congratulate these idiot's for respecting (or the lack of) these great bulls like they obviously have and egg them on. better yet, book a hunt with them, looks like you kind of deal.

I agree that groups such as peta are out to get us and we should respect animals and take care of said animals after harvesting them. But there are sometimes problems in finding animals and yes sometimes they do bloat. But to hang the person before you know anything about those circumstances isn't fair either.
As far as my "looks like you kind of deal" I think I would look into a spell chech and grammar check option on my computer. Second you don't know anything about me or how I hunt. And it is better that you keep your mouth shut than accuse people of something you have no idea about. "It is better for people to only think you are an idiot instead of saying something and proving them right!"

LAST EDITED ON Oct-05-07 AT 09:37AM (MST)[p]Hey PY...clue in! He's not the only one who thinks it's suspicious. And don't be jumping on anyone when you're the OINKER who stated, "it's like a bunch of menstrating women in here." You spelled MenstUrating incorrectly. Heed your own advice:

>"And it is better
>that you keep your mouth
>shut than accuse people of
>something you have no idea
>about."

What's that supposed to mean anyway? That women act suspicious of weird posts when they're mensturating?? That women find pics of headless hunters creepy when they're mensturating? Please, dispense more of your vast wisdom on the female menstural cycle and moods upon us all. I'd LOVE to hear it.

I do get your point...

> But
>to hang the person before
>you know anything about those
>circumstances isn't fair either.

But...again....heed your own advice next time.

> "It is better for
>people to only think you
>are an idiot instead of
>saying something and proving them
>right!"
>
>PY

The only JENN who is NOT mensturating and still thinks the photos are suspicious.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-05-07 AT 09:51AM (MST)[p]Hmmmm, i should use spell "check"?, at least i can spell it right!!!
Practice what ya preech!

But your right PY, i don't know you, but if you are congratulating and condoning something that threatens your hunting rights and future, then that tells enough.

Ok TAG! Now you're the dumb hick...I AM a girl. LOL Of course I know about the menstRual cycle. OK? I don't have a wife either. lol Why would a guy be named Jenn?

But anyway...you're right. It IS spelled menstruating. Posting in haste will get you in trouble every time. I hate comments like those though.

And..what IS up w/the headless hunters?

First of all Jen, you are right, I don't know much about the female anatomy and am sorry that I offended you. That was not my intention at all.
Second of all I never said that these guy did really well, or commended them in any way. If they don't want their pictures on the internet that's up to them. If there is something funny in the pictures that fine with me too. I'm not there and don't know anything of the hunt, and am not going to bad mouth someone that I don't know.
And I know that you think that I was bad mouthing you for the bloating but I was just pointing out that the entrails of the animal are lying behind him.
Sorry again Jen.

PY the only one stating that they are man enought to admit they don't know the female anatomy...

>And I know that you think

BWAHAHAHAHAHA! I didn't think that...but now I do! lol ;-) Just kidding...I know what you meant and was not offended at that. Women just get sick of references like that...everytime someone gets upset all of a sudden he or she is a menstRUating woman (see...I spelled it wrong too...that word sucks. LOL and it's why I never pick on anyone's spelling. Our language is hard!)

But about the stuff behind the bull...I was thinking it was the butt end of the elk that had been munched on, not the guts and that he was all bloated up, not gutted. It's hard to tell.

>Second of all I never said

I know. I got that point about your post. I respect that. I was wondering if maybe he had received the pics in an email and just didn't have permission to post the faces, but really wanted the elk to be posted. It's hard to give the benefit of the doubt sometimes though.

TripleK

No problem, and again i will apologize you too for that remark. It was way out of line and i'm not too bull headed to admit that one.
And i also want to thank you for being open minded and empathetic with you last post

>Nice Bull

LOL Woodruff...I'm enjoying the bull too. Oh...and the weird elk pics.

Come on boys...simmer down and let's talk elk and headless hunters. Come on back, Canis. Explain these pics, would ya?

Hey canibislatrans;

Thanks, smoker bulls! I appreciate your post. Would even like to know more about where & who (outfitter) info.

WTF....This isn't about anything other than some really nice bulls , DON'T MAKE IT INTO SOMETHING DIFFERENT! These forums are for discussion and in doing such(discussion)members can and do and are allowed to share thier feelings/opinions. Many will agree with a thread and many will not , it's what's good about the site. But , an opinion towards anothers accomplishments should be atleast of respect, even on photos that aren't the best. As for the neck shot on the archery bull , well it could be and probably is , but it's also the RUT and if any of you have had ALOT of experiance with bull elk during the rut, which I feel I have had, than you know how electrically violent these bulls get with each other and I've seen bulls bloodied up after traded blows with another bull , so it could be another bull stuck him.....Come with it if ya want to sling this out , otherwise lay off the caffine!

hadeles hunturs is bad. we shude nut make fun of udder peepole fur there spell probams. we shude navar say bed stough abut gills.

500,

Hahahaha!

Jenn,

Why would a guy be named Jenn? Have you ever heard of a boy named Sue?

LAST EDITED ON Oct-05-07 AT 02:59PM (MST)[p]Haaaaa LMAO!!
I have heard of a boy named Sue, and he learned to be one tough SOB........just like "Jenn" is now, i wouldn't get him/her too riled up either!! ;-)

Okay...First things first...Nice bulls.

Second, some people must have nothing better to do in life than to pick apart people and their pictures/animals. I honestly dont see anything wrong with these pics.

First, that first bull isnt bloated. Those are its guts behind it. The only way a bull gets bloated, is when the guts are still inside and gasses build up inside and cause the bulls innards to expand. The bulls leg is probably slightly propped from rigormortis. When I killed my bull, it was at last light. I gutted him and left him on the mountain with his legs propped open to cool him off. Next morning, I removed the stick and lo and behold his legs were still stuck open. I guess he was bloated, huh!?!?

A little blood never hurt anyone. If you dont like the blood, then clean it up in your pictures, but dont jump all over a fellow hunter because you are worried about upseting the PETA people. Seriously, if you cant say anything nice, dont say anything at all. There have been a lot of great contributors to this site who have either left or quit posting pics because of some of the constant nit pickers and whiners on this site.

How hard is it to say "NICE BULLS" and move on???

TUFF

Nice bulls!

There's too many Inspector Klusos around here. I'm critical of getting the animal killed but this post was ridiculous. A blown off jaw is one thing but let's get real on this one. Thanks for posting the originals. No 550 yard shot was fired it sounds like.

(And I have seen blown off jaws on this site)

Nice bulls. I am not going to go conspiracy theory or anything but maybe you could talk to your buddies and have them, at very least, yank the arrows from the bull before they snap a bunch of pics to post on the internet next time.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-08-07 AT 00:59AM (MST)[p]Saw the photos and thought that either the hunters didn't want their pics on the net or author didn't have permission.

Then read the posts and figured "Canis" didn't post back because of the controversy. (weak)

The bulls are very nice, photos leave alot to be desired.

WOW! I've seen far worse pics on this site. Maybe it's good people are starting to get picky about blood, guts etc.

Get a life everyone. Those pics may not be the best I have seen but I for one just like seeing successful hunting photos. I would say he was doing us a favor to send them at all. Next thing you know everyone will be afraid to post pics. as they might offend somebody. I hope this political correctness BS hasn't invaded this site. Lighten up and be glad for the opportunity to view them.

I must apologize to the poster of these pictures. I showed this photos to my wife, she didn't thiink they were that bad. I guess I got 'caught' up in a discussion I had at a meeting the night before these pictures were posted. My bad. If my wife says they are okay, then they must not be offensive. Thanks for posting some successful hunt pictures.

I do see a blue Colorado tag in the bag hanging off the antler of the 1st bull. If you have hunted in CO the last couple years you know what the license looks like....on the other hand....like others have said they remains a lot to be desired.
How about some more info!!!
