Hire a wannabe guide that is a high school dropout.
DENNIS, HANG IN THERE.... THERE IS A GOOD NUMBER OF GUYS HERE THAT CAN HELP YOU, IT MIGHT TAKE SOME TIME. NEXT TIME MENTION THAT YOU HAVE/ OR CANT PRE SCOUT, DONT MENTION GOVERNORS TAG, DONT ASK FOR ANYONES HONEY HOLE. JUST ASK FOR GENERAL DIRECTIONS,AND SAY THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP IN ADVANCE. THIS WILL SPEED UP THE PROCESS. ITS ALOT LIKE ASKING PERMISSION TO HUNT PRIVATE PROPERTY, THERE IS A METHOD TO OUR MADNESS. THIS WILL HELP, TAKE ER EASY.... YD.

We all know that you are one of the kings in Colorado and you work hard at what you do. Hey it could of been an innocent question, sorry if I jumped to a conclusion. Some people say that I'm a little defensive.

I have talked with Dennis on a number of occassions and I hope that if anybody can throw this guy a bone they will do it. He is a die hard mule deer nut.

If this is Dennis from "Burly Bucks" then I hope everyone makes sure he has practiced a little more at the range before they give him any "hot spots".
Anyway, there are plenty of guys on here who will give some general info if they are asked properly. The question was posed in a "Give me the info" rather than "Would anyone be willing to help me please". If he was wealthy enough to buy the tag then I imagine he could afford a guide - kind of like a Sonora mule deer hunt. Either way I hope he finds the kind of deer he is looking for.

thanks like i said I don't know this site very well and have never used it I should refrase my reQuest i would appreciate very much any help on this you would want to offer.I do not want to buy a big deer but am not apposed to hiring a guide either .I love hunting big Mule deer and am very fortunate to be able to afford a tag like this .I'm going to enjoy this hunt even if I do not get a deer.Thanks again for any help I can get I want to hunt late and am looking at units 21,44,35,10 so farin late november and Dec.

If its a guy that bought a Governor's tag, in my mind he can afford to go hire a guide or possible have some Utah deer whore tag along and do some illegal guiding for him. If he is "Joe Blow" who won the raffle and needs some help, I would like to help him out, especially if he isn't an experienced mule deer hunter and thinks he might shoot the first nice buck he sees instead of holding out for something realy special.
This is in no way a judgement of Dennis by me as I don't know him from the guy standing in line next to me in the store. I have no opinion of him personnally AT ALL! If Drummond say he is a good guy, thats good enough for me.
Colorado's guiding laws are really, really specific on what can or cannot be done and I would rather do other things than try to explain to a judge why I was out with my binoculars and a Gov tag hunter on the winter range.
I hope that has curbed your curiosity and aleviated some of the preconcieved notions that may have been taken from a one sentence post asking a guy to send me a private e-mail. What is funny is I expected my motives to be questioned, so I did hesitate to even respond. But I figured what the hell, and sure enough........

You disappoint me. Here I expected a rant about all the highschool dropout governor tag pimps that Dennis could hire and I could laugh my a$$ off reading it but you were actually fairly polite. What's up? Old Age must be setting in or something eh?
BTW I heard the latest fashion for Muley Pimps are those Pimp Hats that the teens nowadays are wearing. Expect to see some cool photo ops in feature hunting glamour magazines.

BTW- I'm pretty partial to the double-decker chicken supreme taco. I like the way the refried beans and the small flour tortilla holds the crunchy shell together. :9
