WY WHITETAIL RANGE

I saw a whitetail doe about 60 miles north of Kemerrer last year on the winter range. That's the farthest West that I've ever seen one but I don't live in WY.

The two most talked about areas for whitetails in Wyoming are the NE corner and the laramie river area. So that isn't very far west. But you'll find em scattered thru the state, just not a huge concentrations. I have videoed 2 whitetails this year in the legit high 150-low 160, I couldn't get one on video that will push 170-but I haven't seen him since and I know there are a couple lions in there with him( I might not ever see him again!). As always, the best whitetails, in the laramie river area, are going to be well into private land and unless you want to pay a pretty hefty trespass fee, it will be hard. Lot more public land further north. But I have seen an occational whitetail on a grass fields as far west as Big Piney. Just isn't a bunch of em. Good luck to you!
