Just wondering about the extended archery elk hunt.Do I have to buy a 65 dollar permit for that hunt as well. I understand that I have to take a archrey ethics course but I wasn't sure on the permit fee and what elk I could take, if it would be a spike or anybull or cow?

If you already have an archery elk tag you just need the archery ethics course to go hunt. Not sure if you can still buy a tag or not. I would bet you can, but??? Other than the wasatch front, the other units are mostly private. Tough to get access unless you know somebody. The hunts are any bull or cow. Good luck if you head out. Let us know how it goes!

Thanks for the information. My father and I own a lot of land over by Mt pleasant.

You don't say?? You need someone next to you to make sure that your're hunting within the guidelines set forth by the DWR. Lucky for you, I'm available. Let me know when you're going to go out and I'll make sure I'm there.;-)

>Nice try Ralphy8 but you'll shoot
>your eye out!

Ok Tyler, last offer. You teach me gun safety (So I don't shoot my eye out) and I'll give you the skinny on DWR statutes and laws while we're hunting down Mount Pleasant way, deal?

HaHa--TylerT has many new friends now!

Shall the bribes start with some good promises of future work around the farm! ha

ha ha that is really funny stuff guys. Well I guess if I can talk my wife into leting me go on about 10th hunt this fall I will get back with you. I tell her that it would be a really good area and I have a good chance at getting a big one but she don't care, all she looks at is the dollar signs!

I bet you could get Ralphy to pay for fuel and lunch! I heard he is loaded.

I was actally going to set my tree stand up in the Wal-mart parking lot in Ephrim. I have had the best success there for the last couple years or so.

I wish everyone the best of luck, the snapete unit will be a really hard unit to hunt if you don't own land but I think everyone's best bet is ether the wasatch or the unita basin.
