Yeah, dumb post, but let's hear it anyway. What do you think the most impressive muley is and why.

Non-typical: I think I would have to vote for the "Mundy" Buck. The score is only 288 and change (yeah, only!) but it has the widest spread ever officially recorded (49-2/8"), as well as what I believe is also the largest typical frame ever recorded at 237 inches.

Typical: Hard to beat the Burris buck.

My favorites are the Austill buck(300 incher)with the monster typical frame from Colorado, Rolly Anderson buck with double drops and a high 40 something spread from Wyoming and the awesome Milton Hunt buck(300 incher) from southern Utah.

I've held the Mundy buck and I still like the others better. There really are too many to pick just one.

My best buck ever is 26". I need some one to go around with me and carry my bullets and only let me have them when a true big buck walks out! When that adrenaline hits I can't hold off. Just once (or twice or three times...) I would like to silence my critics and nail the monster buck. One that (what else) doesn't GROUNDSHRINK -it's good that affliction isn't fatal cause in my case I'd be a goner. SO back to your question, all those bucks you mention seem so out of reach to me! I couldn't work the action -my jaw would be in the way! HOW do you PICK? Not the Hunsaker buck for me - it's neat but not that impressive. Chiplake Buck is neat, the ones you mention are neat. But I like to think that in the rafters of a garage, or the back room as a hat rack some old timer has a set of horns hanging that will just stop your heart, and it hasn't been discovered ..yet! Give me giant forks with width and mass, or add to that kickers and stickers everywhere- either way I don't care ( now this post sounds like a prayer ) IT IS! Grant my wish -THIS YEAR!?

ANY way ;^) - can't wait to see what everybody else says.

I love your reply ...it's honest and show's how human we can be when we see horns... ya gotta love it!

I really like Mass, so my vote would have to go to the BC Provincial #1 nontypical, the Dewdney buck. It is so massive that none of the panel scorers could agree on where to start their measurements and what points were actual points. Intial entry score was 388 1/8 as a 33X22. Final panel score put the buck at 339 2/8 as a 24X23. It ranks in the #2 position of all time B&C.
Closely behind I would chose the BC Provincial #2 nontypical, the Bannister Buck. Unofficially scores 343 1/8. It has one major cheater (5 extras coming off of it) that broke when they were loading it on the horse. They happened to pick up the broken point and still have it. So the offical score is 320 2/8 without the broken cheater.
I also like the Broder Buck, the Garcia Buck and the Anderson Buck. Hell, I just love big nontypical racks. :) :)

I really like the Babe Hansen buck from Idaho....scores 305 3/8" shot back in the late 20's....Awesome non-typical with the tall basket look....Then there is an awesome buck from here in Idaho that was shot in 98' that scores as both a typical and a non-typical....this one is one of my favorites because it came from an area that I shed hunt around...so the thought of his sheds and my eyes crossing paths in the future make him awesome!

I love big typicals but am still waiting for "That One" to drop my jaw. But the buck that gets me is the third set of "The Buck of Justice" HUGE!! No buck can compare with this bucks AWE. I'd even settle for a replica

My favorite would have to be the Wallhanger buck taken in SE Utah back in '89. It was an impressive 3X2 with a 12" spread and 3/4" bases. But it was my first one, so it's my favorite.

On a serious note, You can't beat the Burris buck's sheer size. It looks like you could hang a hammock between those DEEP back forks.

As for Non Typicals, there was a real high, pretty symmetrical looking 12X13 taken by a woman in Idaho in last year's King's Mule Deer Calendar. Can't recall the name, and it's definitely not the biggest non-typical ever, I just thought it was a beutifully configured rack. (The deer's, not the woman's)

I stopped at the bank in Morgan UT and saw the Kilfoil Buck, that thing just keeps going and going. I would also love to see Milton Hunt's buck in person. According to Utah's biggest bucks it has one of the highest scoring frames on record, mass that's out of this world and plenty of non-typical points. I'm not even sure what the score is but it has a broken skull plate and can't be listed in the books. Anybody know what it scored?

Milton Hunt buck from So Utah. Definately my favorite.

Kilfoil buck scores 277 and change, if I remember right. Shot on the Francis ranch in Northern Utah. It is a great buck also.

For me, there is no doubt. It is the Broder buck. I was not so impressed until I saw it at Cabela's. In person, it is just unbelievable. Looking at it from the rear is amazing. The mass and points are just outrageous. I'd almost think they should build a shrine at Chip Lake just to commemorate the place he was shot. What a stud!

Lee's meat buck...One of the greatest bucks i have ever seen. I also agree that there are too many out there to pick one. There is something about the entire story surrounding the meat buck that makes it stand out above all the rest.

I agree with the Kilfoil buck. It makes a 30" look like a 2 point. A thing of beauty.

well in my minds eye there are three that stand out in my mind. the world record wich is 355 and change and lets not rule out one of wyomings living legends popeye the most photographed buck ever and the last i just recently saw that was in this months hunting illistrated the quest for a 40" buck and they had one that was not recorded in the books but it streched the tape to 53' inches wide if you don't belive me pick up the mag and check it out

Being Canadian I'll have to be a bit loyal for non-typical and go with the Broder buck. But for typical the Bigfoot buck just wowed me the first time I saw it, thick, wide and big. I have only seen a few pic's of the buck but most definately he is my favourite.
