North Eastern suggestions

Now that this season is over, it's time to think about next year. We camp at Flaming Gorge every year for a whole week. This time I think I would like to get some scouting in for elk. I don't mind driving a little bit and hiking a lot. I'm not asking for honey holes, duh, but some suggestions on where to look. I was thinking around Browns Park or Red Cloud Loop. Thanks for any input.

Red Cloud loop is bumper to bumper and orange as far as you can see on the elk and deer hunts. We made the mistake of going there this year. I won't make that same mistake this next year. Very few elk taken for the enormous amount of hunters.

I've hunted the red cloud loop and brushcreek for years and it really is bumper to bumper. Very few elk killed. Also talk about a 2 pt slaughter for deer. You'll see very few good size deer hanging in the camps. The North Slope has been good at times and I've heard Browns Park has some monsters. The three corners LE Elk tag is what you need.

IF YOU GO UP TO ASHLEY TWIN LAKES IS A GOOD PLACE. BE WILLING TO HIKE OR IF YOU HAVE HORSES WOULD BE BETTER. STILL SOME PEOPLE BUT NOT LIKE RED CLOUD LOOP. PM ME IF YOU WANT MORE INFO. THIS IS FOR RIFLE OR BOW I'M TALKING ABOUT.

Browns Park is split into 2 LE units, 3-corners and Diamond Mountain. You may find good hunting there, but it might cost you a truck, gun, a few thousand $$, and 5 years worth of hunting.
