1 Bobcat

Well the coyote hunt ended with only 1 bobcat. hit probably 20 spots and didnt bring in a single coyote. The bobcat was worthless because I shot it with 00buck at about 5-8 feet. Blew away everything from the shoulders forward. Oh well was fun hunt. Do it again next month. Edhunter, thanks for all the advice.

Thanks and good job archerelk. I'm glad you got a cat in, that is worth 20 coyotes to me. Keep calling and they will come. Coyotes are much more wind and scent sensitive that cats. Maybe the dogs are smelling you before coming all the way in? All I know is I get my butt kicked way more than I call in critters. The more I go the better I get at site selection.

Nice to hear from a guy who can gleen some information out of this stuff and get a good laugh too. That DeadI guy got some good information on his post and then some of my best humor but was too serious to appreciate either.

If my memory serves, you were in a calling contest.....right? How did the rest of the guys do?
