AZ Opening day bull

One of my very good friends 14-yr old daughter shot this awesome bull on opening day (11/23/07) in N. AZ. It was her first bull! She made a fantastic shot at 314 yds with a 300 Wby Mag. Congrats to her and WE ARE ALL proud of her.

My son is hunting the same unit, he has had a hard time finding anything, he has put in a lot of time scouting and now a lot of time on the ground. Lots of hunters everywhere! Congrats to this young girl and her family, awesome bull, this unit is turning into a very tough hunt!

My buddy patterned this one bull for 9 days and had his orange juice ready for him, opening morning! We watched from the bottom when she shot and got this bull, it was great to watch.
With all the previous hunts this year, the elk were pretty high and scattered. Hot and dry also. A lot of negative attitudes and suggestions not to go up there, were ignored by my buddy and they went for it. Like I said, we are all proud of her, and her nerves were solid and calm as can be, when she took the shot.
