Muzzleloader or Rifle Hunt?

If you only had two choices for your deer hunt...which one would you go on: October 23-27 (5 day Muzzleloader) or November 9-11 (3 day Rifle)? There is a later 4 day hunt, but due to work I can't go on that one.

P.S. Keep in mind there is a 3 point antler restriction for these hunts.

Depends on what unit, but I think i would talke the muzzy hunt. Kinda sad I wont be able to hunt mulyes this year with my muzz, but I get to hunt with my son for the first time. Hope he bags one. This will be his first hunt.

I would have to choose the muzzloader hunt for two reason: more time to harvest an animal, and animals would not be as "nervous" since the rifle hunt is less than two weeks after the muzzloader hunt.

After going out this weekend to do some scouting...I am leaning towards the rifle hunt for a few reasons. The brush is still thick and green, the temperatures are still reaching the 80s, and you only get one shot. This hunt happens to fall on a Tues, Wed, Thurs, so not as many people will be out hunting as they will be on the second rifle hunt which starts on a Thurs and ends on a Sunday.

Went muzzleloader last year, only to miss the big one due to buck fever. I ended up taking a small one on the last day though. Hopefully we might catch a freeze between now and November 9, but with our local weather you can never tell. Any more opinions?

Tough choice, but I lean toward the rifle too because there may be the start of some rutting activity by then.
