Its a shot in the dark, so to speak. But I got wind of a big bull killed in the east side of Hungry Horse Reservoir, possibly in the middle fork. But it was hauled out of east side reservior. I am hearing 390, but we all know how that goes. It is probably 350. But I would like to see a picture as I heard it was killed out of the basin I bowhunted and came close to a real toad, plus had another on my trail cam, either one would be easily recognized, and I just wanted to see a pic to see if it was one of them.

If anyone has any info. Please contact me here.

I am from Kalispell and I havent heard anything about it. I will talk to some taxidermy friends and see if they have heard anything. I am sure that if a monster like that was truly killed that it will get out sooner or later. I will get back to you if I find out anything.

If it's the guys I'm thinking of, it's an honest 390

I've just pissed in my pants.......and nobody can do anything about it.

Yeah, if you hear anything, please let me know. I am sure its at a taxidermist here somewhere, unless it was a non-res.

Nothing specific, but I know some brothers who hunt that area religiously and I wouldn't doubt it if it was them. It is rare that a hunting season goes by without one of them topping an honest 340 on a bull from that area. One of the brothers holds the #12 P&Y bull in the state.

The only big bull I know shot from Montana is this one. I got the picture from a co-worker.

Thats cool that bull was shot again this year, that is one persistent elk. For 3 years in row now he just keeps getting up and the same guy smokes him.

Stopped by the Taxi yesterday. No word on the big bull. He did have some whitetail that were killed in the riverbottems near Kalispell. One green scored 186 and the other had trash everywhere and was equally impressive. They were both 10+ yrs old and killed by a father/son in the same meadow only less than a day apart.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-05-07 AT 07:53AM (MST)[p]Yeah, if you can get access to the river bottoms, you could really get a toad. You have to know somebody.
I just wish I could set up some trail cams in some of the river bottoms, just see what's there.

Which taxi?

LAST EDITED ON Dec-06-07 AT 01:32PM (MST)[p]Did you all hear about the 401 bull killed by a 13 yr old Kalispell girl recently. It is projected to be top 10 in the state! Here it is!

LAST EDITED ON Dec-06-07 AT 03:27PM (MST)[p]Killed on the east side. That is one lucky girl, that elk is a pig. Pic does not do it justice IMHO.

east side? Im guessing she drew the tag for cobbs? Either that or she went hardcore and packed that bull out of the front country.

I bet she killed it in the Bitterroot....isn't that where all the big ones are Rocky?

Seriously though....WOW.

Article in the Billings Gazette yesterday. Its a 700 bull. BIG COUNTRY few elk... but some biggies obviously...

Says it scores 401 SCI without deductions.. not sure how that correlates to B&C, but they said it would be scored for BC after 60 days...

Congrats to a lucky Girl!
