Prism Arizona Hunt How was it

You mean my Amazon "Rain" Forest hunt?:)

Had a great time!

Got rained on-4" in 2 days! Lost about the same from my belt due to the STEEP country and 2 days of packing out my bull. Picked up a bunch of elk and coues sheds, and left a lot more there for anyone else crazy enough to shed hunt in the same area. Crossed a raging river that didn't even exist the first day I got there. And, I'm still picking cactus spines out of my fat @$#@.

I'm hooked on AZ late hunts!:)

Can we see some pix?
what were the conditions of the shot that you took? Was it with a bow?
Congrats on the kill!
Scott
Late in what way?
Still a green horn, even when I get out there to do this.

Prism.....sounds like another sweet adventure other than the cactus in the arse part. That just sounds painful.

Thanks guys. It was a good hunt, and one I'd happily do again in the future.

I was really paranoid about broken antlers, so when I saw this guy was still put together and very good looking I let the 300RUM work its old magic.

I can only think of 2 Utah LE units that I'd consider as rugged. Those Arizona boys gotta have their crap together to tackle them little hills:)

It's a lot like the Coues deer country I've hunted in Mexico, so it was kind of nice to be glassing for something that sticks out like a neon-sign when compared to a Coues.

Wow, that's pretty. That wale tail has a lot of character the way it curves up. And yes, a lot of people think AZ is all flat but that country you were hunting is pretty damn rough.

Fantastic bull Paul. That thing is a whopper. I love the whale tail. That pack job must have been a kick to the jublees. Great job!

Stop shooting animals already! Now I need to buy another one of your videos to see the footage.

JK great looking bull.

Playing the bonus point game in several states paid off for me big this year with my Arizona elk and Wyoming moose. Luckily I can still go into next years AZ elk draw with my hunter ed point and I think a loyalty point? Not so sure on the loyalty point??? I think the computer said I still had 2 points after the draw.

Can't take anything away from the early rut hunts, but after chasing bulls around during the rut on several Utah hunts, and spending some time on late hunts, there's definitely something to be said for the late hunts.

I like the spot and stalk game. Them rutty bulls can move a bunch when they're hot on a cows trail. A November bull isn't likely to move much and you generally don't have all of the eyes, ears, and noses to deal with. They're also up feeding longer trying to regain some weight lost from chasing the ladies.

Might be burning up some Utah points in '08 for November bulls........

LOOKS LIKE IT WAS PRETTY DAMN GOOD TO ME!!!

NICE BULL Prism!!!

THE ONLY bobcat THAT KNOWS ALOT OF YOU HAVE HAD THIS IMAGE IN YOUR PEA BRAIN BUT DUE TO POOR SHOOTING TACTICS I'M STILL KICKIN!!!

Congrats, great looking bull.

Define, develop, and sustain BOTH trophy and opportunity hunts throughout the state of Utah.

It seems Arizona does a good job at maximizing opportunity and keeping quality too.

There were several hundred tags given for my hunt, but success rates are fairly low.........

wow Prism,

That is a great Bull! I bet he looked good through those Vortex optics.

Nice job! You are clearly the man.

Nice Job Paul! One of the few that get that nice a bull in the late season hear in AZ. Congratulations!
