It gets harder and harder to post here when all these toads show up every year...but I'm proud enough of this guy. Filled the freezer and gave me a little workout!

This is a Bitterroot 330 Bull! :0)(inside joke..he's about 230 bull!)

And I dont think Doug got this posted...but in September a buddy took this dandy in New Mexico with his longbow... it IS a 330 bull!

Man...I wish. I packed him out in 3 loads that scaled at 287 pounds...not including my pack and rifle for a load or two.
Thanks.

Those are both a couple of great bulls! Good job(s)!

'horns'...nice job...i would be proud of him, too...heck, i shot a spike this year, and i was proud as a peacock...i'm envious of yours..congratulations, and thanks for the good pics...

hornseeker, Nice bull, especially for the 'Root. I killed one last year that is uncannily identical down to the short browtine. Just a rag bull in the freezer this year, but also here in the Bitteroot. Nice job. mtmuley

Thanks all.

I was Paul, matter fact, I almost wished I'd had my bow along! I spotted him with 17 cows and waited for them to disappear over a mountain, then climbed it and tracked them over. I ended up "hanging" with the cows at 5-80 yards for about 1/2 hour before I located him and put the whammy on him about 90 yards or so...it was great fun! Elk were bugling that day and the day before, Oct 25th!

You got that right. I am looking forward to knocking over a 300 bull, then a 330 bull someday, but dang, that was a fun hunt!

I still think you are cheating by not using one of those sharp sticks you "make" me use, but I'm glad you nailed a great bull. I'd be happy as hell with it as well. Thanks for posting my bulls pic on here too. Maybe next year I'll draw that dang tag and come join you for the pack out. I'm looking frwrd to it anyway. Congrats on filling the freezer yet another year. Nothing like elk meat in January.
