Field care for a trophy mount

I think this is the year that I might get that buck I would like mounted for the family room, but I am not totally sure what to do to separate the head and cape from the body, so that that the finished mount will really look great. Can anyone give basic instructions on what to do? Thanks for your reply.

If you want the straight skinny go see your taxidermist BEFORE you go hunting, he will show you what to do and what not to do.

Do like me go hunting with you taxidermist and have him help you skin it. That way he takes the mount when your done and it is done the right way.
