I SCREWED UP....BIG TIME!!

I went out hunting this morning for a bull elk on the reservation. I missed a huge bull at 60 yards....TWICE!

I am sooooo confused....Buck Fever....I felt good
slope...wind...not a factor at 60 yards.
WHAT HAPPENED?

I have my thoughts on it.....first of all I didn't have my son with me and second my mind and heart were thinking of how big this bull would be in the back of my Tacoma.

I felt so confident and sure that I hit him...I chase the two bulls around for a couple of miles. NO BLOOD AT ALL!!

I never felt like getting my ass kicked but this morning I wish somebody was there to give me a good jab (or TWO)
in the head for SCREWING THIS ONE UP!!

All I got is a "THE BIG ONE THAT GOT AWAY" story....got plenty of those too....so I don't even like telling anyone

Screw it....got the freezer full so why am I complaining.

Sorry to hear your misfortune. Guess my next stop would be the rifle range to recheck my Zero. Better luck next time.

I take it you were bow hunting?? if not, you need to get out to the range more often dude...

Sorry about your miss man! But 60 yards with a bow is anything but a Gimmee shot! Especially on a live animal. If you were using a gun then.... With a full freezer, you will do just fine, but you will be thinking about that bull for quite some time! Happy New year!
