So much snow,so many other hunters camping low because of the snow. There was no way I would be able to get to go where I saw the big 4x4 that I posted in july and had seen most of the summer that was my goal for the hunt. At 5:45 a.m my daughter and I left camp to meet my friend and his brother in law in some lower canyons. The ravine I picked was the easiest route I knew of to get up high even though we were hunting low because of the snow. I told my daughter we would have to walk up hill for an an hour then the rest of the way was mostly level and downhill. WRONG it took us an hour and a 1/2 to hike three hundred yards at 7:30 we were two hundred yards from the top of the ridge. We were hearing shots low which I expected. The incline was very decieving, I told my daughter that we didn't have much further to go and all she could do was tell me she was that this snow is soooo deep and we will get there sooner or later. Just then the first deer of the day came in to view, I could tell he was a good buck instantly. I told my daughter to hold still the first shot totally missed at about eighty yards up hill then he started to run for cover my second shot hit him in the left hind quarter that slowed him down. My third shot hit him in the neck and he was he was down for good. That was at 7:45 a.m we got to him at 8:15 a.m and we were back at camp at 9:15. He was a big bodied 3x4. With all the snow I was glad that it was a short hunt with a good deer. I will post a couple pics later

Just so you know AR, you can go to www.photobucket.com and get a free account. You can upload a pic there, then it will give you a link to copy and you can put that link right on your message at MM!

Looking forward to the pics. I love the pics (hunting) I have with my daughter in them!
