Does anyone know if there is a limited draw on any bull north of I-80 on the wasatch? Particularly above Bountiful north to Farmington? I know there's not a whole lot of elk but they seem to be heading this way more and more. I've scoped a few from my front yard suprisingly.

If you look at the proclamation you will notice that North of I-80 and in Davis County it is an open bull, OTC permit. Yes, there are a few elk up there but, unless you knew right where they are at, you may never see one during the season. As you noted, there does seem to be more showing up though. Myself, I've seen only few elk up there.

Shhhh - there are no elk up there! ;)

I spend a lot time up there year-round and you're right, we see more and more every year. That said - I can't imagine packing a bull out of most of the places we see them! Deer are one thing - a decent sized bull would be a nightmare.

I packed my bull out of a nasty place (different general area) this year in 10 inches of snow - 3 guys and we were BEAT by days end. It wasn't half as steep or long of a haul as it would be abpve BTFL/FRMGTN.

very good point, some of the steepest, thickest country around. That's why I've never hunted it, we go to Southeast Utah usually. In all my years of glassing this range I've only ever seen a few and they don't hang around long.
