Finally got my buck today. I was holding out for a nice buck saw about 40 bucks, alot of small 4x4 some really nice 3x3 and alot of 2x2. this one measured 30" 4x4 took alot of pictures but don't know how to post them so I need help on this. He was only 65 yards from the main road so that was sweet.

LAST EDITED ON Nov-10-04 AT 06:29PM (MST)[p]Got him in unit 82 on Mt. Blanca near the radio tower by zapata falls. there are some real monster bucks. Alot of deer The good thing is that not too many hunt where I do because the roads are kind of rough. it only take 1 pref point to get a license. The reasons I took this one is it was last day dad wanted to go home had too go meet his girlfriend so he was convient. Hell I was headed to zapata falls because nature was calling and they have a restroom there. "hate to go in the woods" I had been chasing a really nice buck that had a spread of at least 35" a perfect 4x4 but never got the chance to put the crosshair on him been chasing him for three years.

Thats the one I use too hunt with! brought alot of elk out too I forgot to take a camera with me so had to wait till i got to the back yard sorry guys

4 years for me, 4 bucks hit in the neck.
I'm tired of seeing these .338 guys hit them in the legs etc.

Dammm Nice Muley I like to go hunting myself. I got one this year but too sad to put it on the net. (I killed Bambi) lol
I would like to get something at least 1/2 that size I got a cow elk for unit 82 Dec.1-31st. I would like to know if you could take me hunting with you guys?

Hey I talked to your dad and he said he saw 50 cows and one really nice bull and he said he finally saw that big muley that you guys were after. I'm definately going to take a camera with me

Unit 82 is an excellent place to find big muleys just has a lot of rough roads

jsalas68, congrats as he sure is a beautiful animal. I'd love to see one that size. Does your Hunting unit have alot of public land or is it mostly private?

its both but there is plenty hunting opertunities for public hunting. This year i saw at least 40 bucks that were of mature size. If you want to hunt mule deer than unit 82 is the place you can be back by 7:00 a:m if you want too
