I drove through Morgan area on Friday evening and saw hundreds of elk (and deer), in many different groups, visible from I-84. Do elk always winter that low? Some look gaunt, but maybe that is normal.

Ive lived in morgan 15 years and never seen the elk down as low as they are. for the first time this winter Ive had bull elk in my back yard by my barn and today i had two moose laying next to my barn. never before. we have had 100+ deer hanging around where we feed our animals. sad to say 9 deer were found dead yesterday from dogs chasing. but the 2 dogs are dead now. someone will be looking for there pets. most the animals still look to be in good health but the fawns and not doing good. Keep up the warm weather cuz we need some melt off. usually the elk are up high on the hill but not this year!
