I was thinking of trying to put together an mp3 caller and was wondering if anyone knows were to get the sound files of a distressed rabbit or howling. any help would be apreciated

The best way is to buy the sounds on a CD. Johnny Stewart makes some good ones. Another way is to use www.findsounds.com this gives you from 1 to 6 second sounds of all types. I've used some of them to put together a pretty good sound. The howling is not very good so I've pulled mine from the tapes and CD's I've bought. The fox fighting sounds are pretty good. This is a good way to go in my opinion. You can see my setup by going to www.swhounds.co and clicking on coyotes and then my calls. I've spent the last few months getting all the parts and I think I've perfected a system that works well for my personal calling style. If you want some help I'd be glad to assist or you can log onto www.predatormasters.com and go to electronic calls for more information than you ever imagined.

man, you guys are gettin' hi tech. my kid has an mp3 and it's amazing what he can store on that thing. i still like the pliers and your bro-in-laws groin though. even if you don't call in anything it's still fun. won't be long and they'll hologram projectors with rabbit images and real sound and a lazer to zap em when they come in.
