B&C idea

Does anyone think that more coyotes would be shot if there was a B&C category for them? There are enough of them out there and some are pretty big...I think some guys would go out to shoot coyotes if they knew there was a category they might be able to get there names in. Probably a stupid idea...but it would help control the yote populations in some areas that really need it

That would be a good idea yb It would get the guys wanting to kill them which would then help the deer. They would be better off . Just go by skull measurements in the b and c for the scoring on the yotes .

I yote hunt but not because of some record. Might get a few people hunting them. But I dont hunt any animal to get in the record books. I dont care about my name being on a page of a book. P&Y or B&C. I hunt for the enjoyment of it.

And as far as having your name posted in a book, have you ever looked to see how many names are in those books...In order for anyone to see your name in there, you would have to have the book in your hand, turned to the right page, and highlighted on top of that, or nobody would ever see it.....
I can just see us all now saying, "dang, that buck won't quite make the record book, so I won't shoot that one". Of course that may help the deer herds!!
And as far as yote's go, I don't think everyone would go thru all the crap associated with fleshing and cleaning the skull of every dang dog they shoot, just to get it measured for the "B&C Coyote Club"!!! (BCCC)
They just need to put some kind of bounty on them. Some ranchers already do that in some areas. Most people just hunt them because it gives them another good excuse to get out and "HUNT"...

I think what YB is trying to do is get more people hunting coyotes. Which will in turn help out our muledeer. I think that would be a good idea. It definetly would get more people chasing them in my opinion. Just my two cents.

His idea was just to get people to hunt them . Which would then help the mule deer . But If there wasnt any trophy animals left I would still hunt . Its fun just to take any size of buck . I know if you people got a a huge record typical bull from any state you would put it in the books if it was #1 .

The best way to get people to hunt coyotes is to encourage the fashion industry to use more fur. When the demand for coyotes pelts increase so does the price and hence the hunting of them. Instead of worrying about B&C having a coyote category maybe you should hit the fashion runways in New York, Paris and Milan in a coyote fur outfit, complete with crack pipe. That may attract all those herion addicted models to your side so they could model the latest fur creation as well.

Im NOT interested in taking the time, or effort to score one of those stinking things!
It would be fun too have a online contest to see how many we could shoot as a group! the number of yote's that most of us shoot this time of year might shock all of us.
