hey guys,
With all this time on my hands i thought i would share some pictures from my Yukon guide season earlier this fall. I spent 3 months in the Yukon working for Rogue river outfitters owned by Jim Shockey and Kevin Olmstead. I know this is the mule deer forum, but i thought you guys would enjoy the pics most!
Heres a picture of me and Cody Robbins, Jims cameraman, who filmed all of my hunts, they will be on the outdoor channel sometime next season. This is a typical cabin door in the yukon, yea it was a little nippy out .
Heres Jim and one of his fires that burned for 2 days, but it sure warmed us up quick!
Heres another picture of Jim glassing over a huge moose meadow.
Heres the first moose we took on September 8th. Not a huge bull, but not really small either.
Heres the second bull that was taken on the last hunt. The bull is 61" wide with really good palms.
This is a monster bull that had a lot of non-typical points. I called him to within 300 yards of camp, unfortunately i had finished the season and was getting all packed up to take the horses out or this bull would have dropped!
