I went out this morning to see if I could get a few more muley photos and this is what I came up with. I thought I would try and show them in the sequence of events that I took them. Hope you enjoy.

I've photographed this buck just last week and this morning I found him up on this bench below this big rock face as he was traveling looking for does.

When he turned I noticed he had an injury to his shoulder where I assume he'd been gored by another buck.

There were a few does right there and he found one that was coming into heat.

He kept chasing her until she moved down into some small spruce trees to lie down under to get away from him.

Amazing! It's one thing that they invite you into thier personal space, but now you get them to pose a kiss!!!

Thanks for posting them.

Rod,
Super Pics As Always. :) Love them big ol' Alberta bucks. The more pics you post of that country the more I want to see it in person.

Rod, are these park deer? Do they get hunted at all on a limited basis? Those pics are absolutely awesome, you could easily publish a coffee table book with your work and make a little doough!

Thank you!

I'm glad everyone enjoys the photos. Thanks for the kind remarks. I've been toying with the idea of doing something with some of my collecton but I might wait until I upgrade to a better camera.

Yes, these are Waterton deer. The park is relativly small however and a few are taken along the boundries every year so they do see a little hunting. Some are wilder than others depending on their past experiences but during the rut if you're in the right place you can get some decent photos.

That is too cool. I can only assume a guy could get some good pics on the eastern edge of Glacier...you think? The only diff is we have the Indian Res there and the Indians may shoot them up pretty good in the winter??? Not harping on indians anyone, just stating a possibilty.

That camera seems to be taking good pics. I was wondering, do you use the "auto" function or change stuff around in program??

Thanks for the viewing pleasures!

Well,...easy enough mistake I suppose. Looks a bunch like the mouth of the canyon in the pic with the rock ledges.

I agree with everyone...these are amazing photos of a very good looking buck. Thanks a bunch for sharing.

I must say Rod that is some incredible pictures. No need to wait for a better camera get to selling and please post more.
