CO Archery Elk

I'm looking to get a little info for a OTC archery elk tag. A few questions if anyone can point a NR in the right direction.

I'm looking at unit 231. Can a guy find any elk in this unit? I'm not looking for record book, just a good, hard working, average archery hunt. Is this unit going to be busy and how is the access.
I would love to hear your recommendations.
Just looking for some input to start my homework. Thanks for all your input.

I don't know about that unit, but if it has high country, you should be good to go.

I hunted that unit 2 years ago, just on the backside of Yamcola Resevoir and had some pretty good action. Saw quite a few elk, not alot of bugling, but I was there earlier in the season, but did hear some. Anywhere up there off the beaten path will get you into elk and other hunters shouldn't be a problem. If you would like some more information you can go to my website at www.colorado-adventures.com and contact me from there. Let me know how it goes.

231 has lots of elk, pretty easy access, lots of people.
I've archery hunted there a good bit and I always see a good many elk but its hard to get away from people there. In spite of the people I've always enjoyed hunting there.
