LAST EDITED ON Mar-22-08 AT 11:31PM (MST)[p]Well lets see the pics of the utah bulls that go along with the age from the tooth data. Even if you posted pics before lets see the bulls again with the age on them. I was suprised at my bull they claim 7 years old! I thouhgt by the way his teeth were worn down and his cape had a lot of gray I figured he would be 10 or so at least, but I guess that shows you how much I know.

Damn neat thread guys and gals. Pretty cool to see the ages on those big old Utah bulls. Wish my state did that, but we're just starting to get to the point where we even know how many animals are harvested in a given year.

Didnt anyone kill anything younger than a 6 year old bull last year.We all know there were some bulls in the 4-5 year age class post some pics up, who cares what they scored as long as you scored. This has been very interesting to say the least on ages of animals taken and photos of the bulls.
Good luck to everyone that gets lucky and draws elk in 2008 the draw will be here before you know it.Sure I know these pictures dont help your patience out waiting for the draw to be final what so ever.HA

I told my friend Shawn about this thread and he got curious. He called on his 2006 Manti Muzzleloader bull. It was 9 years old. Here is a pic. Nice bull Shawn!

This is a bull my good friend Steve took on Beaver last year. 350 score. 59 inch main beam. weak 5ths but who cares. Just called the division today, 9 years old. I think we are going to have a tag for my dad this year and maybe we can do it again

Great thread guys, tons of awesome info and pics. Really shows the genetic potential of these elk.

Are the ages of these harvested elk matching up with the age objectives of the units they are coming out of?

This is getting me excited for my elk hunt thi year. I drew a Manti Archery tag at the expo. I am so pumped now. Thanks for showing those pics. It seems like a lot of the bulls were old. Is that good or bad? Would they have been bigger or better in the 6-8 yr range? Or is it more genetics. I know that genetics has alot to do with it.
