I was a lucky one that drew out for one of the wasatch tags at the expo. Since drawing for that tag I have been watching bulls nearly 4 days a week, now that a lot of the bulls have dropped and are begining to move higher I need some pictures of some wasatch bulls to keep my blood pumping until the summer scouting months arive. Lets see some pictures of some wasatch bulls that any of you have... dead or still on the hoof

Which tag/season did you draw? I drew one of the archery tags last year. Awesome hunt! You should be on cloud 9! I know I was! Here is a pic of mine! A ton of good bulls on the unit! Good luck to you!

Siletnstalker, that is a great bull. What did he end up scoring? Do you have a pic of him from the side? That 3rd on the one side looks huge.

I also drew the expo wasatch rifle tag. It is going to be an awsome year. Good luck to you hunter03 as well.

Nice bulls! Silentstalker, I love the mud all over that bull. I drew the rifle tag... I am on cloud 9, I can hardly wait for the summer to get here so I can get up there and do some serious scouting.

Man guy's, I am excited for ya! I had so much fun scouting last year! And the hunt was incredible. This was the smallest of 4 other bulls I had picked out as shooters. The excitement and circumstances of the morning made him too cool to not shoot. He was one wild ruttin bull that morning. He broke off about 4" of his right side brow in the wallow he was absolutly destroying when I shot him. He ended up grossing like 336 and netted 299 7/8. His huge discrepency of tine length and lack of a 6th tine on his left side killed his score. I have NO regrets shooting him however. Scores are for sports, That was one heck of a hunt! Good luck to you all! Here is a side view requested.

Hunter,
Chad did it the right way. The biggest mistake I see hunters make on the Wasatch is spread themselves too thin. Chad did his homework and looked at several areas early on. As the hunt got closer he narrowed his scouting to a couple of areas and then once he started hunting he focused on one area. I'm sure he kept those other areas in the back of his mind for backup but he stuck it out. You will do fine. Especially with a rifle! My advice....there are some 400 class bulls on the Wasatch but I would think twice about passing a 340 class bull. Just my 2 cents though.

It's always an adventure!!!

Silent,

That is a great bull, and I love your pics of him.
I have looked at that photo several times, and today is the first time I noticed no 5th. What a unique trophy!
It is fun to watch them wallow, and even more fun to harvest near a wallow.
Once again cool photos and a great unique bull.

Great advice Jim. I truly beleive if I had chased every big bull story I heard about, I may have not killed a bull. Scout the unit hard. Look it over, but in the end, pick a spot, and hunt it hard! Good luck to you!

Chad

Silentstalker the gps cords. of the three bigger bulls you let go would be very useful to me in my quest to fill my 08 wasatch archery tag.(HA HA) That is a great bull and I hope I will be sharing some pics with you guys after this years archery hunt.

LAST EDITED ON Apr-14-08 AT 08:09PM (MST)[p]What do you think the bull scores in the picture sniffing and going to lick the salt looks like a good bull also the last bull picture is a dandy.

I was wondering what it would score but wasn't to worried about it thought I would see others opinion all I know is that I shot that bull on the muzzleloader hunt 2007, also my brother took a bull out of this location in 2005 that went 378 there are 2 other bulls that were in this location that made it and will be high scoring bulls this year despite making through the winter. I was after one of them but this bull tricked me in the trees and I let him have it was a great birthday bull, to the person with the tag spend some time scouting take notes and you will come away happy and succesful.

Hopefully I am the one that gets a crack at him!! For real, what a stud bull. That bull has the "wow" factor for sure.

Elkfeet,

Sweet congrats on that bull he is cool, what did he end up scoring just curious? I have lots of pictures of him if your interested!

I have seen some great bulls on The Wasatch. I would be more than happ to help MM members find some good bulls. I though a 390 bull was taken last year but we saw him during the winter in January.. shoot me a pm

ARROWHNTR I would like to see some more pictures of my bull I haven't scored it yet maybe when I get it back from the taxidermy before I hang it anyway to me I am very happy with the bull. I was told that the big bull in your camera picture is still alive and was seen during winter.

Hey man,
There's some great info on here. Somehow I drew one of the NR muzzleloader tags for this year. After reading the posts, I can hardly sleep already. I won't be able to make many, if any trips from NM before the hunts, unfortunately. I'd appreciate ANY info on where to begin.

I don't mind walking or packing elk out.
