Well I was fortunate enough to draw an archery tag in this unit so now the fun begins.

I am not here looking for someones secret spot or even an exact location of where you were hunting. I am just looking to talk with someone who has put some leather to the ground in this unit and could tell me what they seen and heard.

Thanks,

Jeremy

I hunted this unit in 2006 archery.... Had a great time, a lot of Bulls. PM me and we'll chat.

Send me an email if you'd like some help. I've hunted that unit twice in the last five years, helping a close friend and then my son, who were the tag holders. One was an archery hunt and the other an early muzzleloader hunt. Both were excellent hunts, lots of elk in that unit.

I have spent a lot of time in 5BS. I have hunted it numerous times with friends, may tags, and family. Send me a pm and I can give you some very good info.

Kelco,
I too would appreciate some help on how to start planning for this unit. I drew the rifle tag.

I had a very good friend draw that tag last year for archery. He was into Elk most every morning and afternoon. He was looking for something 330 or better. He got into some of those type Elk but couldn't close the deal. Lots of 300" Bulls. His best hunting was early because as the season progressed the Elk became more call shy and skittish. He went home empty handed but had a heck of a good time.
