Any Idaho resident apposed to wolves should check out this website. We're trying to get enough signatures to put the wolf reintroduction on this years electoral ballot. If successful, we'll be voting for the right to choose for ourselves whether or not the Canadian wolf belongs in our state instead of having the federal government tell us what to do. All you have to do is be registered to vote, and sign this petition in any one of the locations listed at this website.

Why does your group continue to say canadian wolf? The ones reintroduced are one and the same as the wolves that were historically in Idaho. Also wolves are out of federal hands and are now being managed by the state, the feds are not telling Idaho what to do in any way.

This website shows how devastating the wolves are to our elk. And yes the state does have control now "kind of". They had to submit an actual management plan that had to be approved by the Feds in order to receive this so called control. The Fish and Game would cover this up if they could. They just see lost $$ and do not want tag sales to go down. They would sell a 1000 tags if we had one elk left.

I understand the problem Idaho,Wyoming, and Montana has with wolves. What I don't understand is Idaho has a big wolf problem. But they choose to charge non res over 200 dollars for a wolf tag. In Wyoming non res can shoot one with out a license or tag. Yes, free wolf hunting. I think Idaho should charge 5 dollars max, for a wolf tag. Then maybe sportsmen would spend their money on gas and try to thin out the population. I hope Idaho gets their crap together.

what the crap???? not even close!!! so when we run out of moose in Idaho, we transplant canadian moose because they are one in the same????? is a canadian white tail the same size as a lemhi white tail? there are no 300 lbs whitetail in Idaho. 4 yrs ago my father and I went fishing in Alaska, on the flight, this little gal had to sit next to us two butt heads, during the flight we learned she worked for the Alaskan game and fish dept. and so the subject of wolves came up. she personaly worked with black bears, but she told us the wolves transplanted were not even close to the same animal, 30to 50lbs larger.. but the feds dont care, those that call the shots dont listen to real sceince. and what does historically mean, 100yrs ago. why not go 200 yrs ago, lewis and clark only saw 1 group of about 16 elk while in Idaho, they spent alot of time between north fork and tendoy, the Indians ate fish, speed goats and bison. so I would bet there was no 1600 wolves in Idaho then.

I understand that wolf management is now in the hands of the states. However, the federal government is still watching over everything we do. Idaho has control over wolf management as long as we adhere to the population specifics created for the reintroduction. I'm not telling people what to do or believe. I've seen what wolves do and also heard numerous gruesome stories from people I trust, but that's not what this topic was about. I am letting people know that we have a chance to speak out. For once, Idahoans can voice their opinions in a legal format regarding wolf reintroduction. I'm surprised I got so much opposition on this site to be honest.
