AZ 4th choice bull

This year i drew my fourth choice in az. A late archery hunt
with 25 permits.. i alaways thought you couldnt get a bull tag
after ur second choice.. just wondering if anyone has got a AZ
bull tag 3rd 4th ot 5th choice?

Under the way the draw is suppose to work, only hunts with left over tags after everyone's first and second choice has gone through would be available for third-fifth choices. I have heard of archery cow hunts being drawn like this. Most of the late archery hunts are a new thing and everyone I know that applied for one got one. I'm not sure what the draw odds are, but I bet they are pretty high and could be why you drew the hunt after your first two choices. Can't wait to see when they release the draw odds.

The late archery hunts are going to be a challenge, to say he least. I guess not enough people wanted to use a first or second pick on them to fill them, or you would not have a tag.

If you were able to draw that tag as a 4th choice, I think we all know what kind of participation there was among applicants. The only way I'd ever put in for a late bull tag in AZ would be AFTER I draw my bull tag, then the following year when I only have my permanent point and loyalty point, then I MIGHT put in for one of these hunts.

4b is probably on the bottom of the list as far as archery Nov hunts go. I wouldn't be surprised if all other units filled up pretty quick. That's gonna be a tough hunt dirt.....good luck.

I drew Unit 7 East rifle (11/28) as my 3rd choice. I was also shocked. I had only 5 points including the Hunter's ed and loyalty...

is that a bull tag spaz? i doubt anyone has ever drew a rifle bull tag on a 3rd-5th choice, especially in a unit like 7E. the way the draw is set up it just wont happen. always a first for something i guess. anyway congrats on the tag!! should be a great year to have a tag, wish i had one. kill a good one
