420 grain arrow 270fps and about 70lb ke. Plenty.

430 grain arrows @ 65#. I prefer a fairly heavy arrow for better penetration on elk. A light and fast arrow has less force behind it and has less penetration. Having said that, with most setups in todays world, if your arrow weight mets minimum requirements for your state, it likely will get the job done. I just like upping the odds for an animal as big and tough as a bull elk.
