I finally drew a ML Bookcliffs tag. 10 points as a non resident. I was a resident up til this year and I finally draw....gonna cost me a lot more than it would have as a resident. Oh well...it will be worth it. Anyone have any pictures of bulls taken there in the past few years? I would love to see them and hear some stories to keep me tossing and turning at night. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Congrat's fuzzy....your in for a fantastic hunt, nice big mature bulls all over the place!

I was out there hunting deer last fall when the muzzy elk was going on and the bulls were still screaming their guts out.
We were in the "seep ridge" area, from midway up to the top by PR. springs. There were elk scattered all over the tops of the ridge road from east to west.

Good luck, we'll be expecting pictures!!

LAST EDITED ON Apr-30-08 AT 10:41AM (MST)[p]I spent two years in a row in the same area helping friends. Had a million great experiences. One word of advise. Don't spend your whole hunt waiting for Mr.400" to show up because he won't be coming to the party. There are a whole lot of good bulls there but slim to none on the record book bulls. A 320" to 340" 6 point is is going to be the top end. Good luck.

>320 to 340' top end?!! Must
>be the next pisscutter unit,
>after the wasatch! :)

You're on a roll today! Keep it up.:7

Hey fuzzy, that will be a fun hunt! And there are some smoker Bulls down there, it is true that a 320, 330 is more the norm but there are some big boyz. I had a friend that took a 400+ in the roadless last year ( any weapon) and I helped a friend on an Archery hunt in 2006, we were after a huge 5x5 that would have grossed @ least 370.
