My son drew this year. It is his last year for youth tags and we are very excited. The area's we are looking at are near Kamas, Hanna and Red Cloud Loop above Vernal. Anyone willing to share any info.

Be prepared for a very tough hunt. As a general rule the elk are not as vocal as on the LE units and the pressure is unreal in certain areas. You do get to get in there before anybody else but it is a tough hunt. I would look up near the Soapstone area as well. There have been some elk hanging out in that area. I would carry a 12 pack of beer in a cooler on that hunt and learn a little Spanish. The sheep herders are extremely valuable and will give out a lot of info for a little cervesa!

It's always an adventure!!!
