Region G Poll?

Are you kidding me? I was off to pop a chukar and seen the poll and had to stop to respond.

We have fought about this quality/quantity thing to death. We, this site and many Utahhns, are polling about Wyoiming G quality? Kill them. Let the kids hunt. Who cares about quality and people in the field. OPPORTUNITY! Go ask a Wyoming resident how he feels. Not greedy Utahns. I say reduce tags in G, H, Utah general season, or any other unit to produce quality animals and experience. See the elk forum and the fight over elk changes.

People say don't ruin a good thing in Utah, others say a 300" 6 works for me, then place on the site, a poll, addressing this very issue for Wyoming G deer. Differnce is the quality for elk is here, the decline of quality deer is there. Can you say Flip-Flop?

That poll is a very bias poll in MHO. Most the users on this site are from UT, just like most the people on Jesse's site are from CA, etc etc.

You want to know what a WY resident thinks? I think if you are bitching maybe you should find a different state to hunt. I heard Idaho has good deer herds....

This is my holiday spirit Pile. ;-) Good Lord you should have seen me last night. No birds and one coyote. You would think I would learn to pack a rifle and dust coyotes. I did see one pretty nice 26" buck in your desert haunt.

However, I must say, these polls kill me. Are we out to change the world? Does anyone care what the results are? Is the F&G on mission to find out what we think because they have no clue? Once again, the poll, starts a resident vs. non-resident, bow vs. rifle, September vs. November fight. It never fails. Then, nothing is done with the results. Must be a cyber-space ratings getter.

I like Wyoming YH. Seen, scouted, and killed my best deer there. Who are you directing your second papragraph to? I haven't drawn for 3 years, because the tags have been reduced it has been harder to draw, or so I hear. That is a good deal. I will sit out while things get back to normal. I don't have a choice. It appears to me Wyoming has enough sense to adjust human harvest to reach objectives and compensate for winter kill and drought.

Biased YH? You hit that one on the head. You can make results say whatever you want them to say. My question is what do the pollsters want them to say and why. Then what?

I'm a Wyoming resident and I have to say that I'd like to see changes statewide. Why just region G or H?? The whole system for the state needs to be revamped to emphasize greater quality for the hunter. Funny that ALL of the antelope in Wyoming are limited quota for both residents and nonresidents, most of the elk areas are limited quota for all, but muleys are by region for nonresidents and residents can hunt anywhere. It is hard on the mule deer resource and diminishes the qulaity for everyone.

I'm for changing, but I really do not see it happenning. Game and Fish is money driven, and if they go to quality, it will mean fewer licenses and less money. Follw the money.........
