Hey Guys,

Long time MM member. Looking for suggestions for public land WY Whitetails, up coming draw. Prefer ML or Rifle. May consider a trade hunt - I can put you on a 300+ bull (bow only) late hunt, very steep and deep.

the black hills. lots of forest lots of deer go to the bear lodge outside sundance. thanksgiving weekend is peak of the rut.
there is more public land then a person could hunt if he hunted all yearlong.
wy doesn't have a ML season rifle season is the month of november bowseason is sept.
thanksgiving is the time for big bucks there i would defenatly plan that week if you go.

I'll spend a few days and try to take something worth my time and effort. Not much into cleaning a small one.

My wall just looks like it needs a whitetail;)

Thanks All

i usually stick with mulies, but i have shot two whitetail in wyoming. I got the first a few miles out side of gillette. Didn't see to many big ones however. The second one was in the river bottoms right outside of wheatland. the deer i shot scored in the books. i had scared one out an hour earlier that made him look like a spike. if you can find land to hunt around there you should have a high chance of seeing big whitetail bucks.

P.S.

huge bodies on these guys. mine dressed out at 257 pounds

I would suggest that you try Minnesota or wisconsin along the mississippi river as thats where lots of really big hogs are dragged out each year. The out of state license is over the counter and under 150 bucks. If you need a base camp and some help on where to start I have access to over 3000 acres in Minnesota and I own land in wisconsin, the state I live in. You can email me if you need more info or are interested in trading some hunts.
