Hey Skull Krazy, What makes you think these sheds are from a "high-fenced" area? I live in WA, and do not know of any "high-fenced" areas. Not to say they don't exist, I just don't know of any, especially in the area these sheds were supposed to have come from. If you know something that the rest of us don't, please share it with us. Thanks, Scott

Yes it's an assumption, but based on those facts, and his ranch bull looks......
(second to last bull picture)

But hey, prove me wrong, i'd LOVE too see this thing be a wild bull!! :)

It's a wild bull...not sure about the score, but it is wild...good luck drawing a tag in there though!

SHANEWA, Why post those pics on here? YOu should know the response you will get and you got it, there can't really be bulls that big in Washington must be high fence. What people don't know won't hurt them. nwhunter

ARe you serious? Do you wonder why B&C won't allow this bull in the books? WTF???

Define, develop, and sustain BOTH trophy and opportunity hunts throughout the state of Utah.

I have a real hard time believing that's not a ranch bull. But hey, if it'true, the cats out of the bag now Washington. You just did your states elk hunters a big diservice. Your odds of drawing a tag just took a big hit if that's what's roaming around your state!!!!! Welcome to the big bull-low odds club!

It's always an adventure!!!

Umm.. this bull was taken near where I live in 97 and it was a wild elk and went 449 7/8. I think it is #3 in the world, #1 was found dead in BC like a month after this bull was shot.

The top non-typical American elk listed in B&C records include a 465 2/8-inch bull picked up in British Columbia, a 450 6/8 taken on Arizona's White Mountain Apache Reservation in 1998, and a 449 7/8 North Dakota bull taken in 1997. Information provided courtesy of the Boone & Crockett Club.

Odds already suck, couple tags in the unit, Good luck

AT 449-7/8" Pro WOULD HAVE TO LET THAT BULL GO!!!

I'D SHOOT IT THOUGH!!!

The big non typical in the third photo isn't the same bull. He was picked up by a different guy in a different area than the 450 bull and he was picked up again this year.

The 3rd bull pix was the one i made my original comment about, but if i was wrong then i must apologize and retract my assumptuative (is that even a word?) statement.

Those are some MONSTER sheds!!

Strange how noone has killed ANY of those bulls if the sheds are so readily picked up......maybe this fall???

LAST EDITED ON May-07-08 AT 11:24PM (MST)[p]Great, our awesome .0000001% chance of drawing that unit just went to .0000000000000000000000001%.

we can't kill them because us locals can't draw a tag because of all the coasties that draw it and then they come over and realize its either to rugged or they can't get permission to hunt and all three of these bulls were picked up on private ground. Slim odds on drawing a tag just got slimmer

Yeah...but think of all the rich guys...get your check book out boys...you're going to WA.

GO HARD KORE OR DON'T GO AT ALL

Does WA have landowner programs for vouchers or is it all based on a draw only system? Don't worry Washingtonians, I'm stretched about as thin as I can get on draws. I'm pretty sure if I added one more state to the draw my wife would shoot me in the head.

It's always an adventure!!!
www.awholelottabull.com

Only one tag can be bought and it has been purchased for 63K. The rest will be a few lucky SOB's that draw. A few meaning less than 10 in most regions. Some only draw 2 or 3 permits. Majority of us will never draw in a lifetime. So... dont worry about getting out the checkbooks. Nothing to purchase.

Might be a bargain, if you know where he is and then can get permission to hunt him. Otherwise you will shoot a 350-380 bull like the tag holder each year has to do. Washington is a big state to be chasing 2-3 400 inch bulls around. But if you guys want to start bidding on the governors tag and get it up in the 100K range go for it. More money back to a good cause.

wahunter20, Hey take it easy on the coasties!! I think that some of us westsiders can handle your rough country just fine and may have even killed one of your big bulls in a deep nasty hole! Enough has been shared on this topic lets let it go away. nwhunter

With this new interest in Washington I thought I would let you know how Washington works. If you Utards or other non residents want to start putting in for Washington here is what it costs. You must buy a license and tag prior to the draw, so to put in for the deer and elk draw as a non resident it well cost you $613.00 bucks each year. No refunds after the draw. If you do not draw a tag you can hunt spike bulls (there are a few any elk areas) and three point or better bucks or eat the tag.
As a resident I have been putting in for 11 years and have yet to draw a big bull tag. As a non resident I guess I would have close to $7,000 grand invested and still no big bull tag. As you can see Washington is not very friendly to non residents when it comes to hunting prices.

Thanks groundhog, this "Utard" will just stay home and look at Washington shed pix on MM!!

But good luck to YOU someday!!

It just took my resident buddy to 26 years to draw his first elk tag in his lifetime in his own state!!

Skull Krazy
"No Bones About It"

Oh yeah I forgot about the app fee. Yep Non residents get to put in for 100% of the tags! Lets see last year there was 13 tags in Dayton A and over 1700 first choice applicants. In Tuccanon there was 4 tags and 682 first choice applicants. Clockum A there was 9 tags and 2867 applicants. Blue creek had 2 tags and 735 first choice applicants.
A lot of applicants have 11 points. In Washington points are squared 11 X 11 = 121 chances at drawing a low number and the tag. It makes it pretty tough for the guy that is starting out with no points but you can get lucky and draw a tag. My buddy drew a once in a lifetime sheep tag the first year that he put in.

Nice one Shane scab so pictures from another site and stick them on here to let the whole dam world to know, smart move buddy.

OK, You talked me into it. I'M IN!!!! I'll risk the flogging from my wife on this one. I do think that $65K just went up a bit though on that governors tag. You can buy your way into anything....including private land!!!

Ok Bobcat, you pulled on my heart string begging like that....i'm feelin the love clear from the Basin and that's well worth the $2 a gallon on my part.

Ooooops, somebody f'd up showin sumthin they weren't supposed too, i take it.

Shane, i think you'd better start wearing the best camo money can buy when your out huntin, sounds like you have a big ole bullseye on your back.

But if it's any consolation to the WA residents....i hope one of your own can get the job done on these bulls.
Damn their some extra biguns!!

Sorry nwhunter didn't mean any offense to you especially if you get out there and get after them. But there are a lot and i am sure there are quite a few that are from the eastside that do the same thing. Which is draw a tag and then drive around and never get out of the truck because it's to steep. So i'am sorry i put my foot in my mouth.

I don't think you utards would have a shot, word travels fast up here in southeast washington as soon as it got out one of you had the tag there would be some tight lips, slamming doors, and a lot of money spent on new No Trespassing signs. Besides that the Blues are a big place to pin point one bull.

do you think that i could trade my wasatch elk tag for this year for a tag for that big guy. wow what a bull.

good job doorknob.

wild bulls.
the guy with the sheds was offered a hefty chunk of coin to lead the gov tag holder to the bull and he declined.
pic #3 is from last year and was posted on here last year.

i'll never get a big bull tag in wa., especially now.

considering his track record with the 200 inch Shiras that are running around everywhere.....Yeah, heck with the Cash or Wasatch, we have 200 inch shiras behind everybush up here, and the matched set of antlers that were just found and pictures taken in the nice manacured green lawn in January or was it December when the snow was a foot deep and lawn was long since brown..........Go figure. I wonder if you'll see any of next years pictures now.......

Those are some mighty bold statements Mray LMFAO!!!

Brush or no brush, us "Utards" don't kill more 380" and better bulls (more than all elk states combined) every year cuz we sit on lawn chairs around the campfire shooting our BB guns at popcans and drink beer!!

We'll crawl through wild rose bushes in our camo underwear if that's what it takes to get the job done! :p

The sheds are from the Blues in Oregon. Hey oregon has better draw odds any way. No way there are bulls that big in our pisscutter state. We only have raghorns.

slamdunk Which part? And yours havent been? kinda the pot calling the kettle black dontchya think?

My point exactly thanks for making it! You are fortunate enough to live in the state that holds the most big bulls in the west ... the blue mountains are a differnt story however, you'll be searching for the needle in the haystack! And as far as "us Utards are killing more 380 bulls than anyone else combined" don't flatter yourself some of those big bulls are getting killed by no good redneck non residents from their campfire lawn chairs with their BB guns! BTW I'd like to see your 380 bull!

Well M_ray it's like this-

I tried to look up your post where you were calling us "Utards" and something about how easy we have it over here to drive around and shoot big bulls and basically challenged us "Utards" to come over and try hunting in your "thick brush".....but apparently someone didn't like your post and deleted it.

My facesious comment back to you about us "Utards" and how we'd do whatever the job calls for to get a big bulls down, driving roads, or crawling through wild rose bushes, we "Utards" will get it done!!

Yes we may have more big bulls to hunt, but that's nothing YOU should be mad about, move to Utah and put in for these "once in a lifetime tags" like the rest of us, or break open your piggy bank for a tag!!

Wanna see my 380" bulls?
You can go to my outfitters website and see them ALL!

I guide for a VERY reputable outfitter because i CANT draw a tag in my own state, nor can i pay for one of the golden SOB's, but by hell i'll guide as many clients as i can handle in a year to get their 380+ bulls, simply because i love hunting big bulls and it's the only way i'll ever get too!!

I have "killed" LOT'S of big bulls my friend, year after year, i just haven't pulled the trigger on any.

Well thats the problem why don't you ask Killowatt why my post was deleted I can't figure it out either but since you ask? ... I'll tell you what I said again ... I never called you Utards first of all you did and I never called you out or challanged you I simply said it's not Utah ... (meaning there aren't as many Big bulls) and I said it's brushy ( which are both the truth no bones about it) I think you have me confused with someon else cause I never said anything about you driving around shooting big bulls out of your truck and having it so easy. I also never complained or was mad about the fact that you have more big bull opportunity ... again just simply pointed it out that someone (I didn't even say you) was bragging about just coming up and slamming it down cause us guys in WA can't get it done! And my comments were more on the lines that it's not going to be as easy as you find it down there in Utah, In fact I said " Not to get your boxers in a bunch but it's not Utah and it's more brushy" is that what you are mad about and what got my post deleted? Wow that's about the worst thing I said other than calling Shane a foul name I figured he would be mad at me but not you guys! this is the problem with the internet you cant allways tell what a person means just by comments typed, they can be taken several ways.

I don't doubt you would crawl through whatever it takes to get it done ... but so would I so were more alike than you think, I don't sit in my camp drinking beer on my lawn chair shooting pop cans with my BB gun either. So again I'll even pm you my original post so this one doesn't get deleted again and you can see exactly what I said.

It's all good M-ray, this is what forums are for i suppose, but sometimes it's easy to get all wound up.

Although i have never actually crawled through wild rose bushes for elk, i did crawl on my hands and knees with a client through a cactus infested area.
Good times!
But we killed our bull then spent a while digging stickers from out knees!:) Lol

The best of luck to you in your quest for big bulls, i really do hope you get a crack at a couple.
My day may never come, in a personal aspect, but i have 6 elk hunts this fall to contend with, and all those areas have huge bulls on them!

Just remember... There are so few elk in Washington it is not worth anyone putting in for any tag.
