INPUT FOR IDAHO ELK

GUYS I NEED SOME HELP I AM LOOKING AT BOW HUNTING ELK THIS YEAR IN IDAHO I AM LOOKING AT UNITS 77 AND 78 AS PLACES TO START. MY QUESTION IS ARE THESE UNITS A GOOD BET TO TAKE A BIG BULL? BY BIG BULL I MEAN 6X6 330 OR BIGGER. ANY INPUT IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.

My answer comes from the fact that i have hunted in a small area in these units.and by no means do i want to portray knowledge of the entire area

Is it possible to get a 330'ish bull in these units...yes. Is it likely? probably not. I have run across a a couple bulls in that range but not every year. I know that this area also got smacked hard with the snow depths this year, i can imagine what the winter kill numbers might be.

It is a beautiful area, and i will continue to hunt it, but my expectations are on having a fun hunt and not really in the size of the bull. Good luck with your hunt
