Utah elk success rates

Anyone know where to find the Utah hunt success rates for the general season hunts? I'm mainly wanting to know what the success rate has been on the North slope for the rifle elk hunt.

Also I have a buddy from Pennsylvania who want to come out to Utah and try an elk hunt. Anyone have any suggestions on where to go? He's looking for a decent bull probably 4-6 point. I told him that it is possible but you may have to eat a tag if your going to be picky. I most likely wont be hunting just helping him out.

I dont know the numbers but they are bad on the north slope. i would look at the south slope, a good magority of north slope bulls will be in wyoming by the general. if you really want to kill somethin on an over the counter tag i would look hard at colorado, wyoming general tag is good also but its too late now.

the dwr website has all the info you need.i agree with red dog the north slope is a bad unit south slope is alot better.
