Unit 211 Late season cow

My wife put in for 211 late season cow this year. It will be her first year hunting. Has anybody hunted this unit? Looking at the numbers from last year, it looks like she has a pretty good chance of killing one. If anybody has any input on the unit, it would be much appreciated.

Ya that should be a fairly easy cow to get. I used to hunt that in the late season if i did't fill my cow tag when I was a youth. I would look out around axial basin and around Juniper mountain but it really doesn't matter that time of year the elk are practically every where that time of year. I think that tag is also valid in 11 also and I have had the most sucess in 11 that time of year out in bitter brush and around wapiti peak on country road 21 or 23 i can't remember but its one of those. Tons of people though, but tons of elk.

Thanks for the info Coloradoboy. I would really like my wife to get a shot on one this year. I am going to be hunting archery this year so if I don't get one then she can fill the freezer.
